Mary Wappner

It is with great sadness the family of Mary Wappner announce her passing, after a lengthy illness, at St. Joseph's Hospital, on May 4th, 2011. Mary was born May 16th, 1949. She grew up and lived all her life in the same community. In her earlier years, Mary worked at the Nor Shor Inn. After she worked at the Valhalla Inn, until 2000 and had to leave due to health reasons. Mary loved her flowers, cooking, knitting, especially reading, talking and visiting friends and neighbours. She loved to sit outside under the trees in the nice weather. Mary also loved to go to Grand Marais and Duluth with her sister. Mary is survived by sister Lucille and brother Joe (Bernadette), as well as, niece Chandrie Pera and nephew Leighton Pera. Predeceased by her mom Jessie in 1997, dad Paul in 1998 and sister Helen in 1994. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, May 10th, 2011 at 1 pm in the Oliver Road Community Centre.
