Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 26, 2016.
Mary L. Weeks, 69, of Afton passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, surrounded by her dearly loved family. She was pre-deceased by her parents Bernard and Eleanor McHugh; brother William McHugh; and first husband John Rossi. She is survived by her husband, Sherrill A. Weeks; daughters Shona Forsyth (R. Kenneth Forsythe), Lynn Rossi (Jan Parsons); stepchildren Michelle Weeks, Richard (Tammy) Weeks, and Melanie (Charles) Paldino; grandchildren Kinaed Forsyth, Cody Borawa, Richard LeHens, and George Bardis; sister Nancy (Arthur) Elwood and nephew Dallas Elwood. Mary graduated from the Binghamton General School of Nursing and began her career at Wilson Memorial Hospital. She later worked as a school nurse for the Bainbridge-Guilford School district. She retired from DMOC BOCES as a school nurse where she found particular joy in working with those students whom had mental health issues. Mary was also an extremely talented craft artist who owned her own business and participated in craft shows when she was not working as a nurse or spending time with her family. If you know Mary, then you know she loved the Christmas Season and the dinners with family. Mary loved the Christmas season so much that she kept all her Santa Clauses out all year long . She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. We would like to thank BGH ICU they became family and Dr. Lui.
