Maryann Ratcliffe

Mrs. Maryann "Mair" Ratcliffe (née Kotlar), 77, passed away on March 7, 2025, in Winter Haven, Florida.

Born on January 18, 1948, in Staten Island, New York, Maryann grew up with a deep sense of faith and community. She attended Tottenville High School in Staten Island and carried the values she learned there throughout her life.

Maryann was known for her kindness, love, and compassion-qualities that touched everyone who knew her. She had a passion for cooking and baking, often filling her home with the comforting aromas of homemade meals and treats. Her love for music led her to sing in the church choir, where she found joy in sharing her voice with others. She also enjoyed camping, boating, and water skiing, embracing the beauty of nature with enthusiasm. In quieter moments, she loved cross-stitching, creating intricate designs that reflected her patience and creativity.

Her faith was a guiding force in her life. She attended Mass regularly and remained devoted to her beliefs throughout the years. Her presence in the church community was a testament to her unwavering spirituality and dedication to service.

Maryann was proceeded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Kotlar. Maryann is survived by her husband, Art Ratcliffe, daughter Jennifer Ratcliffe Kranzler and son in law Sean Kranzler. Additionally Maryann's 3 grandchildren are Brenden Nesbit, Isabel Kranzler and Macalister Kranzler. Additional survivors are Maryann's sister, Theresa Cretella, brother in law Ralph Cretella, and niece and nephew Ralph Cretella and Alyssa Bostic. Finally her close family friends Jenny and Ken Nesbit.

A Funeral Mass will be held on April 3, 2025, at St. Matthews Catholic Church, located at 1991 Overlook Dr., Winter Haven, Florida, 33884. The service will begin at 9:00 AM and conclude at 10:00 AM.

Maryann's warmth and generosity will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing her. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
