We read in the Observer today Maryvonne's obituary with much sadness. She taught Evan at the Pines through third grade and tutored him privately through fifth grade. Unfortunately, we found the obituary after the funeral or we would have definately attended to show our respect for such a great lady. Evan is now a junior at Vanderbilt University and remembers with fondness his tutoring sessions at Madame's kitchen table. Emmie, now an 8th grader, remembers receiving stickers from Maryvonne when we arrived to pick up her big brother. Madame Bontemps, as she was known at the Pines, had a true gift for teaching children. Our deepest sympathy to her family.

I had the good fortune to work with Maryvonne for many years at Pines Montessori School. She and her nephew had developed a beautiful program for young children to learn French. Many students benefitted from this- and also from her gentle guidance and true affection for the children. Maryvonne was especially kind and generous in all that she did- a great lady in every respect.
My deepest sympathy to Bernard and Veronique and all her Family.
