MATHIEU TRUDEL Obituary

Published by Ottawa Citizen on May 28, 2016.
TRUDEL, Mathieu
Roger and Suzanne Trudel wish to confirm the passing of their son Mathieu Trudel. Following a severe brain injury in the autumn of 2014, Mathieu returned to work full time, too early, in March of 2015. Sadly, this winter on March 3, 2016, Mathieu suddenly disappeared. On March 19, a Mass of Hope was celebrated in his honour at the St Joseph Parish in Orléans. On May 6, his body was recovered from the Ottawa River. A private funeral was held and his ashes will be buried at a future date. The family wishes to express its greatest appreciation to all the great communities of Orléans/Ottawa/ Gatineau for their outpouring of support, comfort in prayers, masses and flowers. Mathieu leaves in sorrow, his parents Roger and Suzanne Trudel, his grandmother Jeannette Marion from Cornwall, his two brothers Luc of Gatineau, Pierre-Jules (Sally) and his adorable niece Josélyn from Calgary. As well, he leaves in sadness all of his uncles and aunts, his many cousins from Montreal and surrounding areas. The family wishes to thank in particular Christian Luebbert and Paul Galipeau who have done so much for Mathieu throughout the years. Mathieu had many friends from all walks of life, artists, cyclists, his colleagues of CFORP and many other personal friends of the family. We wish to acknowledge Ronald Lalonde and Mgr. Maurice Dionne as well. Donations to the campaign of the St Joseph Parish in Orléans as well as to the Rehab of the General Hospital would be greatly appreciated! Pax !
