CARTHAGE - Services for Matthew Dillon Abshire, 18, of Gary, will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2009, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Dale Reed and Sister Betty Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park, near Carthage. Mr. Abshire died October 1, 2009, near Carthage.
Born April 7, 1991, in Shreveport, La., he worked for Hooper Feed in Carthage and attended Carthage Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his parents, Kirk and Tammy Abshire; brother, Brandon Stone; and sister, Stevi Abshire. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, October 3, 2009, at the funeral home.
