You were a good man.

Years have passed, but Matt, you will never be forgotten. I´ll always cherish our time at the Academy together as new Agents. Rest in Peace, my friend.

Thank you for everything you've done for me I think about u all the time. Matt really helped me get my life back together and restored my faith in law enforcement. U may be gone but never forgotten.i know u would be proud of me if u could see how much I've improved my way of life and the company I keep are really good honest men and women. I'm sorry we never got to say goodbye to each other and I didn't believe it at first because of ur job but you where a gentleman and I'm proud of you for everything you've done for our country. Matt was a fine young man and athlete at BHS. I remember him as a personable, respectful, and coachable player when I was assisting Coach Arnold with BHS hoop. Bill & Marguerite, be proud of the job you did raising a good man.

Matt was a great friend with a heart as big as the ocean. I will never forget the many great times we shared at BHS and UMass. We will miss him dearly.

So sorry to hear of Matt's passing. He was a friend from high school who many of us remember fondly. My condolences to the Coughlin family.

Matt was a stand up guy and a cops cop. He always stepped up when we needed anything in Hampton, NH. Matt will be missed. Our condolences and sorrow for he and his family's loss.

Much sympathy to the Coughlin Family on your loss. I was a classmate of Matt's in NAT-006 at the ATF Academy, and have many fond memories of "Ming the Merciless." I was fortunate to spend a short period of time with him during the summer of 2006 while in Manchester. He was the same great guy! May you find comfort in all the great memories of him.
