This message is for Jerry Kozlowski, Matt's father. Jerry, althogh I have never met you, I wanted to express to you my hearfelt sympathy and share with you my feelings for Matt. From the first day I met Matt, I found him as a young teenager to be the sweetest boy. He was so full of innocence and basic midwestern kindness. Over the past 30 years I have been connected with him through my daughter Tracy, and my niece, Andie, and my nephew Garrett. I have loved Matt and appreciated his sweet generosity. I still have a vacuum cleaner I bought from him in 2000. (He refused to let me pay the full price.) His struggles and difficulties are over, and now he is at peace. Blessings to you. Sincerely, Linda Curtis

Matt - I can't even express in words how much I Love You! I miss You So much already, I can't even imagine living life without you. You have been a wonderful friend to me. I will keep you in a warm, peaceful place in my heart. You are a beautiful soul. You have been a huge influence in so many peoples lives.
You goofey little man. You make my heart smile.
I will NEVER say goodbye too you! You will live on in each and everyone of us! And for that I will always have you, WE will always have you!
So my wonderful friend:
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face, and the rains fall soft upon your fields.
And untill we meet again, may God hold You in the palm His hand.
I LOVE YOU!! - Becky

I first remember meeting you, Matt, at General Hitchcock on Mount Lemmon. The Bat Child was celebrating his birthday, and you were talking with Rizzo when he introduced me to you. I remember your conversation quite well. You both were talking about the Tigers. I remember you laughing as I stood there experiencing a wonderful first impression of meeting you. From then on our engagements brought me nothing short of what I first experienced. Thanks Matt.

Matt (Koz);
I may not have known you as well as most of your friends, but to me it feels as if I've known you all of my life. Today, I still cannot believe that you're gone. You seemed so indestructible. Matt, I remember when I first met you thru our good friends Darryl & Kevin; and from that first meeting in 1985-86, it was obvious that you brought fun and laughter with you everywhere all the time. You had such a "carefree" and relaxed attitude it was always good to be around you. There were so many fun,intense,helarious,sad & sometimes crazy memories I have had the fortunate opportunity to experience with you, Matt, my friend. In what seems like such an abbreviated time of life. My most memorable times with you were playing cards,watching football games & listening to our favorite music as loud as we could get the volume. While playing cards and you got the deal, you didn't have to say a word about what game you were going to deal, you would just make a circular motion on the table with your index finger and laugh, everybody would know. You called the game "The Wheel". I will always cherish these memories and be ever so grateful that you were a good friend of mine. You are always in my prayers.
Matt you will be sorely missed by all who know you.
Rest In Peace My Friend !

Sincerely;
Your Friend Joe

In all the years I've known Matt. I'll always remember the great times I was lucky to experience with him. As a fellow transplant Michigander, we often discussed living there. Along with our passion for our favorite sports teams. Matt had a heart of gold! His friendliness and laughter was one of a kind and will surely be missed. It's been a blessing to know in my heart that I truly had "One Great Friend" and I will never forget him. Rest peacefully my friend!

"The Koz" will always live on with all of his best friends in Tucson who knew him and spent many good times with him. I have many great memories of laughing, listening to our rock music together, and enjoying all of our friends around us. May you rest in peace my good friend!

I loved Matt like he was my brother. Almost 30 years we would have known each other. He became a part of my family when he had a child with my cousin. My pain and sorrow run deep in my veins! In the words of Pink Floyd "Wish you were here" I know you are now my angel Matt! BeKoz!!!!!!

I have no pictures, but I do have memories. Matt's one of the best friends I ever had. I don't know if it was his last wish, but, by God, the Lions have the first round draft pick. It was one of the last things he ever said to me.
