Matthew Kulick, D.O. Obituary
KULICK, Matthew F., D.O.; of Clarkston; formerly of Waterford;
passed away on January 3, 2023 after battling a long illness; age 60;
husband of Lynne for 33 years; father of Brian (Megan Bonini) Kulick, Kristyn Kulick and Rachel Kulick; son of Dr. Richard & Theresa Kulick; brother of Julie (Bruce) Jonik, Lisa (Bruce) Merrill, Debbie (Dan) Meehan & Richard Kulick; brother in law of Karen (Steve) Richter, John (Cindy) Kraly & William (Jennifer) Kraly; also survived by many nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his brother Barry; “dog dad” of Gracie;
Matt earned a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Michigan State University and spent his life caring for the community as a family physician. He enjoyed golfing, downhill skiing and celebrating the holidays. He will be remembered for being a loving husband, incredible father, devoted son and a talented, humble family physician.
Friends may visit Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home Tuesday 3:00pm-8:00pm with a rosary service at 6:00pm.
Funeral Mass Wednesday 10:00am at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, Waterford with visiting directly at the church at 9:30am.
Rite of Committal All Saints Cemetery, Waterford.
Any donations to the family will be used toward a scholarship in Matt’s memory.

I am heartbroken to find out of Dr Kulick passing away, especially 10 months after the fact. I loved being one of his patients, he and I had a very similar sense of humor and were always cracking up during my visits. I still went home feeling better even when I went home feeling like I got hit by a Mack truck. LOL He's a great Doc and my prayers go out to all who know and love him. You should all know that he meant a lot to and helped so many. God bless us all, I sincerely hope to see Doc in Heaven some day, even as a patient he always made me feel like a friend.

He was a fellow classmate at Our Lady of the Lakes. Sorry to see him pass away so young and way too early. He was also the family doctor of some of my clients over the years and I am sure he was a great doctor and helped a lot of people. My husband Deryl and I are so heart broken over the loss of Dr Kulick. We want to send our condolences to his family, friends and everyone else who's heart he touched. We were patients of his for more years than we can remember. Deryl and I liked to come in the office together to see him. Our visits to see him were always like going to see a good friend. And Deryl and I would like to also say that we were so blessed to have Dr Kulick's daughter Kristyn start seeing us until she moved. Dr. Kulick was such a wonder person and physician. My parents, Mike and Jeannie McCreery transferred us to the Springfield Family Clinic after our beloved family doctor, Norman Decker retired. I was in my early college years then and I continued to drive home to see Dr. Kulick whenever I was sick. He was always such a kind doctor and definitely worth the drive. When my now 20 year old son was born, we continued seeing Dr. Kulick and eventually, my whole family followed him to the Opdyke practices. This is such crushing news and my heart and condolences go out to Dr Kulick’s family and all the wonderful staff at his practice.

Wow surprised to read today in the Clarkston News that Dr. Matthew Kulick moved on. He was a respected presence, serious, funny and made sure our staff got the job done no matter what even on 9/11 we went home for lunch and back to take care of the rest of appointments. We are so sorry to hear about Dr. Kulick's passing. He was our family doctor for the last 30 years. He was a great doctor and a great friend. He always had time to answer your questions. Dr. Kulick discovered I had and irregular heartbeat during and annual physical and sent me directly to a cardiologist. I was diagnosed with Afib. During my next visit with Dr. Kulick I thanked him for what he had done and I told him you may have saved my life. He didn't say a word he just smiled at me. He was my doctor for about 25 years. I firsted started seeing him in the Springfield office and just transitioned to the Auburn Hills Office. I loved his bedside manner he never pulled no punches with me. We would always talk about MSU after the appointments. I would bump into him sometimes at the Krogers in Clarkston and talk about BBQ. We will miss this man who saved our lives, fixed our illnesses and was a guiding light to our son to go into medicine. How does a family fall in love with their gentle, smiling doctor like we did? He cared so much and was so good to us. He saved my husband when his heart was bad. When Dr. Kulick was leaving the Dixie office, he said he remembered the very first day I brought Matt to his office and pointed out which room we were placed in like 20 years earlier. I remembered too. His leaving that office was a sad day for us. His gentle demeanor all those years had our youngest son saying he wanted to be Dr. Kulick when he grew up! And that’s what he did! Today, we are so glad we got to say thank you to him while he was still here. Running into him around the community was a complete highlight when it happened. As I last told him, we thought the world of him! Our hearts grieve for his family whom he so loved that he always mentioned them. . . and his parents. God always loved you, Dr. Kulick.

I spent time with Matt years ago on Silver Lake. He dated my best friend. I remember him as being kind and helpful and a perfect Gentleman. My heart is broken to hear of Dr. Kulicks passing. Not only has he been an incredible physician to my children and me for several years, he has been a person to look up to. It didn’t take him long to fall in love with Caia when she was a baby and ask if he could hold her every time we came in.
