I was very sad to hear that Matt had passed away. Although, I only knew Matt in passing and in a working relationship there was always something about him that drew one in. I remember the first time I met him as he was hunched over a control panel muttering something unintelligible but obviously brilliant as our issue was soon fixed. We soon realized we shared a uniqueness in names and even his middle name was the same as my brothers. His intelligence and surprisingly quick wit made working with him a joy. I know the entire Hawaii family send their Alohas along with mine as he continues on his journey and to his beloved family.

Matt taught me how to play guitar while we were in high school. Mostly by passing notes of hand written tab during class. Very sorry to see him go. May God bless his family during this time.

Too many memories and too much sadness to put into words. You'll be missed my friend.
