I came to know Matt over the course of 35 years at an annual event affectionately known as the Moosehunt. The term is a misnomer as it is really an autumn weekend gathering of a group of guys for the sole purpose of eating, imbibing, engaging in various sports activity and congeniality. Matt has always been an integral member of the Moosehunt. He kicked the weekend off on Friday night acting as the grill master preparing his signature New York strip steaks to perfection. He also performed the duties of treasurer. Those of us lucky enough to have enjoyed these weekends with Matt will fondly recall his Sunday morning call to arms, "Get me your receipts!". I´ve appreciated Matt for his friendship, sincerity and sense of humor. I know I speak for all Moosehunters when I say that Matt will be sorely missed. I offer my sincere sympathy to Matt´s family.

This popped up: "Describe a time when Matt made you laugh"
Ha! All you had to do was to be in his presence. He always had the best sense of humor and whenever we were together - from the time I was 10 years old - he always made me laugh. I loved him like a little brother. I won´t describe the time he was talking to a parrot....but several of you reading this will know the story.
My heartfelt condolences go to Lucy, her family and all the Liebers - my second family.
