Dear Mr and Mrs Manning,
I know this message finds you many years after Matt's untimely passing. It has taken me this long to come to a place where I can put into words what your son meant to me and my children. Matthew was my knight. In fact, he was pretty proud of that term of endearment and referred to himself as such quite often. I found Matt during a terribly dark time in my life. He saved me, He saved my children. He reminded me who I was, that I deserved to have happiness and be safe. I am, to this day completely destroyed over his passing. In fact on June 3, we were to meet that afternoon...I hope that you and your family have found some peace. I wanted you to know, that I am so very grateful for your son and the love that he showed my children and I for the short time that we were blessed to be a small part of his life. I miss him every day, We had some very big plans... Thank you. Thank you raising one of the most amazing men Ive ever known.
I leave you in grand Matthew style..."kiss" :)

J.W. and Betty -

While it had been years since I had seen or spoken with Matthew, he always held a special place in my heart. He was a great friend and we shared a lot of good times together. I am sure that he would have been proud that I am teaching law. Please know that I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless. Dayna
