MATTHEW McBURNEY Obituary
MATTHEW "MATT" J.
Age 27, of New Brighton, died Thursday, July 30, 2015. Born May 18, 1988, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of James J. and Jacquie M. (Flajnik) McBurney of New Brighton. He was a graduate of New Brighton High School, attended the Barber School of Pittsburgh and was an apprentice barber at MBGB in Dormont. He had worked at Main Street Barbers and had presently been employed at Southside Barber Shop in Pittsburgh. He was a member of the APA Pool Association. Surviving in addition to his parents are his maternal grandmother, Sally (Morack) Flajnik, Fallston; stepsister, Kristin (Justin) McBurney Cooper; stepbrother, James "Jimmy Jr." McBurney and his companion, Kayla Boring; two uncles and two aunts, Scott and Lori McBurney, Kevin McBurney and Debbie McBurney; one great-uncle, Albert Flajnik; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, George G. Flajnik; and paternal grandparents, Betty and Alfred McBurney; and his uncle, Alfred "Jr" McBurney. Friends will be received on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. in the A.D. CAMPBELL FUNERAL HOME, 1326 Eighth Avenue, Beaver Falls. A Blessing Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. by Reverend Father Tom Kredel of Holy Family Parish. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
