MATTHEW REASON Obituary
Age 41, of Carnegie, PA, on Monday, October 20, 2014. Beloved son of David E. and Peggy-Lynn (Pick) Reason; loving father of Siah Jae Reason; dear brother of Jessica and Emily Reason; and cherished friend of Jessica Halsband. Matthew owned his own landscaping business in the South Hills area. He was a 1991 graduate of Upper St. Clair High School and attended Temple University. In his early adulthood, Matthew had a fulfilling professional skateboarding career. Friends welcome Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp. If desired, memorial donations to the Arthritis Foundation, 790 Holiday Dr., Foster Plaza #11, Pittsburgh, PA 15220.

I was so saddened to ear of Matt's passing. He worked for me for quite a few years and maintained my property . He always had a smile and worked through all kinds of weather. May he rest in peace.

Matt, I never had the pleasure of meeting you but I always looked for you while on skate missions to Philly back in the 90's. The way you skated was and still is a great inspiration to me and many other skateboarders around the world. You positively influenced the culture of skateboarding in so many ways and we thank you. Rest in Peace.

Matt had the biggest heart in the world... Words to describe him are strong, brave, handsome, brilliant, kind, giving, honest, wise, caring, inspiring, respectful... I've learned so much from Matt. He's the bravest person I've ever met.
My heart goes out to his parents- who raised him perfectly. Thank you for all of your hard work. You raised a perfect son!
