I just learned today of Matt's passing. I am deeply sorry for your loss, and will keep him and all the family in my prayers during this unimaginably difficult time. It has been decades since crossing paths in highschool many times, and moving across the country limited other chances to laugh together, but what I remember was Matt's witt and delivery of his humor. I remember belly-laughing at some of the things he would say. Thanks Matt for the light you brought in the short time we all had the good fortune to know you.

Dear Colleen, Matt, Lissy, and Anna,
Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your Husband and Dad. He was an incredible man, and someone who I didn't consider a coworker, but a true friend. We enjoyed sharing stories about our families, and the happiness, love, and pride was so obvious when he talked about you. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. Always with a smile on his face. I loved him, I really did. And I'll miss him dearly.
You will remain in my thoughts and prayers.

I had the opportunity to work with Matt during
our time at Bayer. During any of our business trips together he always spoke about his family. Every time we would connect he would update me on the milestones his kids were going through and he always said they were growing up so fast. It was clear everything he did at work was for his family. I am so sad and shocked at his sudden passing - he will be missed.

Matt was a wonderful colleague over the last 7+ years I’ve know him at Bayer. We just had a truly lovely lunch together this past Thursday at AUA, where he lovingly shared stories about his children, talked about his time playing basketball, and spoke with admiration about his dad. Matt was always warm and kind, willing to step in and help wherever he could. I know Matt spent time away from home traveling for work. Please know how respected and liked Matt was. I honestly can’t believe he’s gone and am so heartbroken. I can’t imagine the anguish of his wife, children, and entire family. You are all in my prayers.

Dear Colleen,
I am a colleague of Matt’s and I wanted to send my deepest sympathy to you and your family. Matt was a very special person to us at Bayer and I personally valued him very deeply. He was a pleasure to be around, took his work very seriously, and was incredibly good at what he did and highly committed to his work and to our team. I enjoyed singing his praises to our senior management because Matt truly deserved recognition and thanks for his many contributions. He meant a great deal to us and we will miss him very much. I hope it brings you some comfort to know what Matt meant to us and that our thoughts are with all of you at this incredibly difficult time.
