I just found out that you passed. My deepest condolences go out to your family. It's been a very long time since I saw you last but it hit me hard! You will be missed. Many great memories w/ great friends! I will miss your charming personality and unique smile the most. May you rest in peace Matty...I'm honored to have met you!

Words cannot describe the true feelings of the heart. We struggle with questions, we feel anger and we are overcome with grief. We always say time heals all wounds, but we know deep down, we don't have that time. So instead, we should focus on the many things that made this man so great...his dedication to serving his Country as a US Sailor, being a Dad, a son, a brother, a friend, a loyal companion and so much more.
It is true, he will never be forgotten, but when he is thought of, celebrate the joy we all shared with him and not his early departure.
Rest easy my friend.
