Matthew David West

Matthew David West, age 11, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 7th, 2016.

Matthew was born September 14, 2004 to parents Jason West and Julie Stanfill. Matthew was a sweet redhead, with freckles and the most mischievous grin. Typical of younger brothers, he was a tenacious competitor in most aspects of his life. He always wanted to keep up with his big brothers in a wrestling match, motorcycle race, or even swimming. He could take heaps of brotherly punishment seemingly unaffected. Despite his incredible toughness, he was the sweetest boy you could ever meet. He was always quick with a joke or witty comeback. He would serenade you with Country and Christian music at the top of his lungs. He loved spending time with his family. Matthew relished in his role of not only little brother to Trevor, Hayden and Hailee, but also loved being a big brother to Kamryn, Cade, Ben and Ava. Matthew was adored and followed by his peers and he loved spending time with his older brothers, cousins and all of their friends. Matthew was such a warm hearted boy, always willing to lend a helping hand. It seemed to be his mission to watch over the children that were smaller than him, always making sure they were having fun and taken care of.

Matthew will be missed but never forgotten.
