MAUREEN HAMILTON Obituary
Age 76, of Moon Township, formerly of the South Hills, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2015, at her home. She was born in Pittsburgh on July 29, 1938, to the late Maurice and Catherine (Regan) McDonald. Beloved wife for 51 years to Gerard H. "Jerry" Hamilton; loving mother of Karen Wonder (Richard), with whom she made her home, and Gerard H. "Chip" Hamilton, Jr. (Melinda) of South Park; cherished grandmother of Kelsey, Madison, Cameron and Allison Wonder; and her well-loved granddog, Bentley; her sister-in-law, Ann McDonald of West Mifflin; also many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Patricia McFall, Maurice "Bud" McDonald, Jocqueline DeStefano and Lawrence "Larry" McDonald. Belonging to the South Hills Art League and McMurray Art League, Maureen loved art and was a talented artist of pastels. Some of her artwork will be shared at visitation on Thursday 1-4, 6-9 p.m. at COPELAND'S MOON TOWNSHIP, 981 Brodhead Rd. Please meet at the Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis where her life will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Thomas Petrosky. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in her name to the Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis, 1201 Fifth Ave., Coraopolis, PA 15108.
