On June 24, 1961 she married Robert McTigue in St Francis of Rome Church in the Bronx. She worked as a legal secretary until her first child was born.

In addition to her husband of 54 years, Maureen is survived by 4 children: Diane Cain of Nanuet, NY (William), Arlene Clements of San Diego, CA (Kevin), Thomas of Scarsdale, NY and Ken of New Windsor, NY (Annette). She loved each of her 11 grandchildren: Billy, Kevin, Catherine Cain; Kevin Clements; Keely, Cavan, Owen, Quinlan, Griffin, Brayden, Brenna McTigue. Maureen is also survived by her childhood best friend Kathleen Lynch Murphy.

Maureen cared so much for the children under her care. So many people didn't see her artistic side in those early days but she sure showed them later on. She so loved her flowers and made church and events cheery and welcoming. Dear Bob, you remained her hero always and took such good care of her. Good thoughts to all of you. Mary Fois and Family.

Bobby,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family. Oh the memories! I am unable to come to Scarsdale this week. May the peace of the Lord be with you always and may the memories of Maureen's productive life and your good times together sustain you until you meet again. Love to you, your children, and your grandchildren. Mary Garrick
