A native of New York City, she was born April 17, 1955, a daughter of Mary Agnew Newman of Milton and the late Fred Newman.
She married Raymond C. Michaud, who preceded her in death in 1998.
Maureen was a graduate of Keyport High School.
She was assistant manager for 13 years at the Sunoco A Plus Market, on Route 45 and Fairground Road, Lewisburg. She also managed a K-Mart store in New Jersey.
Maureen was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, Lewisburg. She also served with a first aid squad in New Jersey, and enjoyed time with her grandchildren and her cats.
Surviving, in addition to her mother Mary A. Newman of Kramm Healthcare, Milton, are four daughters, Kaitlyn I. and Meagan G. Michaud, both at home, Marsha A. Garvey of Mifflinburg, and Michelle Y. Michaud of Selinsgrove; one son, Raymond C. Michaud Jr. of Middleburg; seven grandchildren, Emily, Natalie, and Veronica Michaud, Jazmine Hoffman, and Christina, Chelsea, and Joscelyn Garvey; and one brother, Kevin Newman of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Friends and relatives will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday with the Rosary Service at 8:30, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday morning at the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home Market and 8th Streets, Lewisburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Sacred Heart Church, Lewisburg, with the Rev. Patrick J. Shannon O.S.F.S. as celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Joseph's Cemetery, Milton.
The family will provide flowers and asks that donations in Maureen's memory be made to the Maureen A. Michaud Memorial Fund, c/o West Milton State Bank, 40 Hardee's Drive, Mifflinburg, PA 17844.
