Mauri Kalevi Lehtimaki

LEHTIMAKI Mauri Kalevi Lehtimaki of Stratford, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2004, after a very long illness. Mauri was born on January 1, 1944, in Nwijamaa, Finland. He grew up an avid player of soccer and ice hockey, which he played for his home country. He also served in the Finnish military. He came to the United States in 1967 and became a professional painter with the Bridgeport Painters Local #190. He was a well known expert paper hanger/decorator with his own business. Mauri is survived by his loving daughter, Ginger Irene Lehtimaki; his former wife of many years, Lidia J. Lehtimaki, both of Milford; his sister, Seija Mangs of North Carolina; two nieces; and a nephew. He was predeceased by his mother, Lilli, and father, Lauri, of Finland; and his sister, Miriam Pully of Florida. Mauri will be sadly missed and always loved by his family. Services will be held in private. Arrangements in care of the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford.
