Age 58, on Nov. 7, 2009, beloved husband of Charlotte (Poindexter) Doss, loving father of Omar, Jason, Vanessa and Margo Doss, brother of Rod, LaMont, Antonio Doss, Yvonne Hall, Marilyn Harvey and Jennifer Sagnelli, also survived by seven grandchildren, many other relatives, friends and church family. Visitation Wed. 2-8pm at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1701 Lincoln Ave., Pgh., PA 15206, where Service will be held Thurs. 11am. Interment Allegheny Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to ALDRICH FUNERAL HOMES, 431 E. 9th Ave., Munhall.

I miss my grandpa so much. I was too young to remember you, but the funeral is so ingrained into my memory, I´m in college now grandpa. I´m doing a presentation about your son, a.k.a.... My dad, your wild child has so many stories that I never thought I would be able to express to others.

Dear Charlotte and Family, We just read the RPTS Newsletter and were shocked and saddened to learn of Maurice's passing last year. He was a wonderful Pastor, classmate at the seminary, and preacher. We so appreciated your visit with us here in Phoenix several years ago. May you and yours know every comfort as you grieve his passing.

Rev Doss visited my son in the hospital, per my request, and didnt even know him. He went to encourage him . He was a man of God and now he is with him.

Losing a husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend is never easy, however as Reverand Doss believed, "To be absent from the body means to be present with the Lord". He is shouting today! To the family of Rev. Maurice Doss: Rev. Doss will be sorely missed here on this planet. Those of us who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and everything that Rev. Doss preached and taught us are in mourning (because he is not here with us) but we are also rejoicing because he has moved to eternity and to the place that God has prepared for him. Although he has moved on to eternity, his love lives on through you. May God bless you and bring you peace and smiles when you remember the times you shared with your husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. I'll always remember him telling me that he enjoyed it when I "yodeled" (hit the high note on a song) as I sang with the Union Baptist Church Choir. He was a dynamic preacher, teacher, and witness for the Lord. I feel so blessed to have had him as my pastor. Thank you for supporting him and sharing him with those who needed to hear the Word. And know, that you, too, are loved.

Rev. Doss had a huge impact on my life. I don't know that I'd be the same person if I had never met him. He was an awesome, Godly man, and I'm grateful that God allowed me to know him. The memories I have of him will always bring a smile to my face, especially his big smile, EXTRA FIRM handshake, and him saying: 'Yeaaaah, Jack!" or "Shake my hand, daughter!"

On many occasions God spoke directly to me through his sermons. I knew that a humbled and grateful servant of the lord stood before me every time I was in his presence.
