I will never forget Dr English and his office on the corner of Belair Rd and White Ave. My mother and I just spoke of him in November. Mom passed away in December.
May the English family find peace at this time and know how wonderful this man was.

Dr English was my Dr for many years and he delivered my son and daughter. He was a wonderful man. I think of him often and he had a long life. Deepest sympathy to his family. I remember that he took over Dr. Wilkerson's practice when he retired.

I was one of five children in my family who were delivered by Dr. English. I remember going to his office at BelAir Road and White Avenue as a young child. My mother, Dolores Bents, remembers him as a kind and caring man. His was a life well spent.

Dr. English was our family doctor for many years, delivering all 6 of us children from 1949 thru 1961. My parents, Helen and Earl Howell of Overlea, thought highly of him and appreciated all he did for our family. When my grandfather had a heart attack in 1950, Dr. English left his office to come to the house to treat him. I pray that as you grieve you will find peace in knowing he touched many lives.
Blessings, Diane (Howell) May

My deepest sympathy to the family of Dr Max English. He was our family doctor since we first moved to the Gardenville area. He delivered my children and treated one of them in the ER at St. Joes. He knew I liked the Orioles and one time he told me he was at the airport and saw Willie MIranda and his whole family, lots of children, he said. I also remembered I cried when he retired from private practice and went to St. Joes. Everyone loved him. There won't be another like him. May he rest in peace. Wonderful man.

Thanks to Margaret Greller, who, in an earlier condolence note, mentioned the location of Dr. English's office at Belair Road and White Avenue. This information virtually confirmed that he was "the" Dr. English who saved my life following an accident in my grandparents' Overlea home. It is likely that had he not intervened when he did, I would have, at minimum, lost my left arm, and potentially, my life, from a catastrophic loss of blood. I hope that the span of Dr. English's years with his family, friends, colleagues, and patients were happy and fulfilling, and sincerely pray that they can find some comfort knowing how lucky they were to have had him in their lives. Every day I know how fortunate I was.
My deepest sympathy to them on his passing.

I am so sorry for the family's loss. Psalms 90:10 says those who are especially strong live 80 years. May you remember Max's strength in life as he rests in God's memory. John 6:39
