I am a first cousin of Max's, my name is Sharon Kay Mutzner Crary. His mother Helen and my Mom, Mary Louise were sisters. Our families lived together for a short time when we were toddlers. Max and I decided to play barber and he gave me "bangs" and threw the cuttings behind the couch. Don't remember any repercussions . We didn't think anyone would notice. I spent many a week on summer vacations on their farm. I was told how fun it would be to walk through the chicken yard in my bare feet, that was probably after I'd run through the wheat stubble barefoot also. The last time we spoke was right after his surgery and he sounded so good. I will miss just knowing that he's not here anymore.

I am Sheldon Birkhold Max' first cousin. We enjoyed early lives together either on his parent's farm or my home in Conover, Ohio. One memory was we as 6 years old and thought it would be fun to chase squeeling piggys around in a pen on grandpa's farm. Little did we know how malodorest we became. It was a cold windows open drive back home.
