Maxine L. Glennon

Glennon, Maxine L. Born September 24, 1918. Passed away peacefully in her sleep February 28, 2008. Preceded in death by husbands, Sigurd Larsen, Jr. and George M. Glennon and other family members. Survived by sister, Carol Stafne, Eau Claire WI; nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews. Beloved mother and grandmother of Sigurd "Bud" Larsen III and Barbara, Priscilla, Eric and Karen Larsen. Cherished mother and grandmother of Linda Larsen Larson and Jon, David & Terri Larson, GA and Mark & Michelle Larson, FL. Proud great-grandmother of Matthew, Hannah, Meagan, MacLain and Michael Larson. Sadly missed by dear friends including Ruby Marie Duke, Loryce Sivertson, Betty Wellnitz, Dolores Rieger, and special honorary family, the Blys. At 89, she is reunited with an abundance of family and many friends. A high school graduate of Oak Grove Seminary in Fargo, ND, Maxine always remembered with deserved pride that she managed the Order Processing department for the Sears and Roebuck catalog phone order board for 27 years from the 50's through the 70's. She was an active member and office holder in White Shrine Order and Eastern Star Order. She also belonged to VFW Post 5555 auxiliary, MOCA, and American Legion-Richfield. For several years she was in the 4th of July parades in Richfield and won awards for speeches to school children about the American flag. Memorial Service 10:30 am Wednesday, March 5 at Mainstreet Village Chapel, 7601 Lyndale Ave So off 494 in Richfield.
