MAYBELLE FOSTER BECK, 76, of Houston went to be with her Lord, February 26, 2006 in Houston after a 4 year courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Pat Beck, her parents, Dillard and Nellie Dent Foster and a brother Henry Foster. Surviving are her children, Julie Lynn Beck, John Michael Harrah and wife, Teresa and Susan Kaye Williams; siblings, Naoma Cheek, Harold Foster, Betty Jo Fox, Brooksy Guilliams, Eula Poage, Gaynelle D'arco, Willowdean Legg, Rita Ann Wendell; grandchildren, Hillarie Ann Harrah and Chad Barber; significant other, Jerry Kalk. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm, Tuesday at Klein Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:30am, Wednesday, at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 5830 Bermuda Dunes, Houston with Dr. Don Meador and Rev. Pamela Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at 2pm in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. For those who desire, memorials may be made to the Luekemia and Lymphona Society, 5005 Mitchelldale, Suite 115, Houston, TX 77092. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center for their compassionate care during this long battle with cancer.
