CARIBOU - Maynard L. Jalbert, 92, died Nov. 27, 2010, in Caribou. He was born March 9, 1918, in St. Francis, son of the late Samuel and Delia (Jandreau) Jalbert. Maynard will always be remembered for his endearing smile, his positive attitude as well as his endless stories. He is survived by his daughter, Lori Guerrette of Presque Isle; two sisters, Gloria McGreal of Portland and Elizabeth Pecoraro of Fort Kent; two brothers, Raymond Jalbert of Fort Kent and George Jalbert of Soldier Pond; nine grandchildren, Maynard, Elena, Peter, Brendon, Shawn, Laura, Matthew, Shelly and Ryan; numerous great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; a very special son-in-law and true friend, David Guerrette of Washburn; many nieces and nephews. Dear Lori, Ryan, Dave, and Aunt Betty,
I wish I had known that Maynard had passed. I know it was his time and he led a full life. I will always remember your mother and father as being my second set of parents and how your dad would always set up the tent for us in the back yard, his kind words, and a laugh that filled the room.
I loved Maynard very much and will miss him even more.

Love,
Kristi (Booty) Curran Duffley

Dear Lori,

It has been a lot of years since we last saw one another. I was very sad to hear about Uncle Maynard. I have such fond memories of him, particularly of the weekend we stayed with y'all in 1960 when Peggy was born. We had just moved to Presque Isle from Old Town and it was so cold! I remember that weekend distinctly, it snowed and you and I played in the snow with your friend, "Bootsie"! Uncle Maynard was always bigger than life. His personality filled a room. I loved his laugh! Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Love,
