Maynard Harold Minnick was born January 3rd, 1932, and raised in Marshall, MN. After graduation he joined the US Navy during the Korean War. He married Jean Harmes in 1951 and lived in Rhode Island while in the Military. They moved back to Marshall and were blessed with 4 children. Maynard worked for the Marshall Public Schools as Lead Custodian at Marshall High School. He retired in 1986, and in 1988, moved to Glendale, AZ. In 1993 they moved to Brooklyn Center, MN. In 1999 they moved to Monticello, MN. Maynard enjoyed camping and fishing, playing cards, watching sports, woodworking, reading and dining out.

Maynard passed away at the age of 91 on July 3rd, 2023, at St. Cloud VA. He is survived by his wife Jean; stepsisters Joan Alley, Jeanine DeGriselles; stepbrother David Graffunder; children: Stephen Minnick, Susan Minnick, and Mark (Deidre) Minnick; grandchildren: Michelle, Megan, Andrea, Shayne, and Jeremy; 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Maynard was preceded in death by his parents Orville and Ellen; stepfather Ted Graffunder; brothers Duane Minnick, Floyd Minnick, and Ted Graffunder Jr.; and son Michael Minnick.

Memorial Service: Wednesday July 19, 2023, Visitation 12:00 pm, Service 1:00 pm, Cremation Society of MN, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Park, MN.

Burial: Monday, July 31, 2023, 9:30 am, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

"Mayno" was a brother I could count on to help. When we built a home in Montevideo he built the fireplace in the living room and allowed me to help. I will miss him.
