Megan Renee Bailey, 19, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Wabash County Hospital. She was born January 8, 1990 in Wabash to Paula (Bailey) Hurst and Kenneth Adkins. She was affiliated with Trinity Lutheran Church of Wabash and was a 2008 graduate of Northfield High School. She had worked at Subway Restaurant in Wabash for the past year. The passion of Megan's life was dance. She danced at the Playhouse Studio for the last 15 years, making the Company two years, and was an assistant dance instructor at the Playhouse Studio. She was a member of the Norsette Dance Team, the Northfield Choir and Key Club. Megan was also a former member of the Wabash Baton Corps. She is survived by her mother, Paula (Ray) Hurst and her father, Kenneth Adkins, both of Wabash; two sisters, Nicole (Trent) Bailey Parson of Deedsville, Indiana, and Whitney Adkins of Wabash; three brothers, Andrew Bailey, Ryan Adkins, and Dylan Adkins, all of Wabash; her niece, Braya Parson of Deedsville; her grandparents, Edward & Betty Bailey of Peru, Indiana, and Douglas & Karen Stoldt of Somerset, Indiana, Nina Hurst and Thelma Adkins, both of Wabash; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Otis Hurst, and a cousin, Joshua Garrett. Funeral services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Kerri McFarland officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 1-6 p.m., Sunday, January 3 at the funeral home. Preferred memorial is Playhouse Studio of Dance.
