Megan came into our lives on a fresh spring day, May 9, 1988. She left us on May 10, 2012. Her life was a giant bouquet of flowers bathed in brilliant sunshine to all that knew her. Mother, Daughter, Sister, and perfect in all. Her friends and family will always love and cherish her memory in our hearts. Those left to treasure her memory are her daughter, Hope Koester, parents Pat and Kathy Koester, sister Julie (Joel), brother Sean Koester, and nephews Jacob and Joshua Parter. Funeral services are under the care of Mountain View Mortuary. A memorial will be held in her honor at Mountain View Mortuary on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at 2:00pm.

My heart is broken. You were the brightest of stars in the whole sky. I will think of you daily and hold you close to my heart always. You would be so proud of Hope and I know you are there helping her through her troubles. She is a miracle. I see you in Hope shining through like a beacon. I will do my best to be the best gramps. I have to believe I will get to hold you some day and tell you how much I love you.

When Megan and her family moved to Augusta, Ga a while back, I found a new friend in Megan. She brought happiness and love into my life and everyone elses she crossed paths with. We are so sorry to hear the sudden loss of Megan. We are all in shock. My wife Perla and I had the opportunity to get to know Megan at the UCD NICU while our daughter and Hope were patients and roommates there. We called them our longest roommates at the NICU. It was always a joy to see Megan and her big smile. Megan was always so good to her daughter. She would always be there next to Hope. She loved Hope very much.
