Megan Elizabeth Rondini, 21, of Austin, Texas died early Friday morning, February 26, 2016, in Dallas, Texas where she was a junior, planning on majoring in biological sciences at Southern Methodist University through the Dedman College. She had recently transferred from the University of Alabama, Honors College where she was majoring in biology. Megan was a talented student and a scholarship recipient at both schools. She was very active within her sorority Kappa Alpha Theta and truly where she found much love and established some beautiful friendships. Megan had many passions, including animal activism, CASA, mentoring under- privileged children in Tuscaloosa and working on research at both University of Alabama and SMU.
Megan will be truly missed by her loving parents Cindy and Mike Rondini, her sister Samantha, grandparents John and Beth Maher, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, sorority sisters and her best canine buddy, Martin.
As a lifelong lover of all animals, Megan has always been interested in pursuing a career in Veterinary Sciences. Before leaving for college, she had competed in Hunter/Jumper equestrian riding events and had owned and cared for horses on two occasions, Joey and Zasman. She continued to enjoy horseback riding when possible and experiencing new cultures.
Megan had already managed to travel to four continents, exploring China, Argentina, Costa Rica, the Czech Republic, Austria, England, Canada, the Cayman Islands and Ecuador with both family and friends.
Megan will be deeply missed, but never forgotten and will live on forever in our hearts, "for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal." (2 Corinthians 4:18)
A public memorial service will be held 2pm Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Weed-Corley-Fish funeral home located at 411 Ranch Road 620 South, Lakeway, Texas. At a later date, Megan's ashes will be scattered privately by family members at what she called her "happy place," Estancia Peuma Hue, Bariloche - Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi - Argentina.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made in Megan's name to the Megan Rondini Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank. All funds will be donated in Megan's name to those causes she was most passionate about.

I am a fellow student at the University of Alabama and a Tuscaloosa native. To Megan's family and friends, I am so sorry for ya'lls loss. My prayers are with each of you. I thank you for the difference you are making on campuses and in Tuscaloosa, AL that no one will go unheard. Through your heart wrenching story, I pray lives are changed and she leaves a lasting impact at UA and throughout Tuscaloosa and on into our country. May God continue to strengthen and comfort each of you. I look forward to meeting one of my classmates in heaven. Thank you Megan for your voice.

Dear Rondini family, I didn't know Megan but what a beautiful and intelligent daughter and sister you have lossed. I am sorry for what happened to you Megan. May you rest in peace. You are in Heaven, a far better place your bright light gone way too soon. To the family of Megan Rondini---My heart sank and cracked somewhat, having just read of her. I pray that God's comfort be mighty over you as you face these days of sorrow. I know you not, but I so felt lead to send a note...that there ARE others who are concerned for you in all of this.... Cindy and Mike.. I was heartbroken to learn about Megan today. I had no idea this had happened until I read the Four Points news. I remember the Christmas she got her horse and seeing the huge smile on her face. I am so so sorry for your loss and my prayers are with your sweet family.
