Mel TONKIN Obituary
October 29, 1929 - February 1, 2017
Peacefully, at Hospice of Erie Shores, after a brief illness, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Eleanor "Bunny" (nee Nantais) for 65 happy years. Cherished father of Susan Cancade (Ed), late Mark (2009) (Darlene), Patricia Collison (Matt), Christine Arksey (Ali) and Barbara McFarland (Patrick). Proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his beloved grandson Daniel Arksey (2006) and his dear mother Lavina (1994). Mel was employed by Chrysler and was the owner of Stick & Stamp Creations. If you so desire, donations to John McGivney Children's Centre, Hospice of Erie Shores or St. Paul's Church would be appreciated. A special thank you to the amazing team at Erie Shores Hospice, "Angels gather there". Visitation Sunday 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service Monday 10 a.m. at
