Melinda A. McManus

Melinda A. (McCune) McManus RN, 56 years of age, of Sutton, Vt., entered life eternal at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center at Lebanon, N.H., Dec. 26, 2013. She was born and raised at McKees Rocks, Pa. She was a graduate of Sewickley Valley Nursing School and Bridgewater State College. Melinda had been an intensive care unit nurse in the Pittsburgh area and a hospice care nurse. She was a nurse for Caledonia Home Healthcare of St. Johnsbury, Vt. She was devoted to her family and she enjoyed cooking. Before moving to Vermont, she had resided in East Bridgewater, Mass. She was the beloved wife of Glen M. McManus; and the devoted mother of four children, Rachel Marie McManus, Maureen Elizabeth McManus of Boston, and Daniel Paul McManus and Bessie Kathlyn McManus, both of Sutton, Vt. She was the loving sister of Colleen Dolgos of Pittsburgh, Pa., Karen McCune of Taunton, Mass., Kimberley McCune of Pittsburgh, Pa., and the late Maureen McCune. She was daughter of the late Paul and Patricia (Butler) McCune. Visiting hours will be at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree, Monday, Dec. 30, from 6-8 p.m. A Catholic prayer service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
