Like many others that have signed this guestbook I also knew Mel from working in the 411 Building. Every morning when I'd come to work he'd greet me by name and with a smile. He was a unique person and truly will be missed. I'm saddened by his sudden and unexpected departure. My deepest condolences to his family.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Mel's passing - his smile was a real day brightener, and on those cold mornings when he was waiting with a cup of hot chocolate, or passing out roses on Valentines Day, he made coming to work a pleasure. May God Bless and Rest Him.

Mel was a friendly, warm, polite gentleman. I will miss him and his smiling face. In the morning all I had to do was look over at the info desk and his smile and wave made my day (411 Building). Mel was a very caring, gentle person. He's in God's hands now and I know he's smiling down on all of us. For the family, I'm so sorry for your loss, but how fortunate for you to know and love such a wonderful man.
My condolences.

I was shocked to learn of Mel's sudden passing. Mel would greet me every morning at the 411 Building where we both worked. He always brought a smile to my face. He was a very kind man who will be missed. I am grateful to have had a chance to know such a warm-hearted person. My condolences to Mel's family.

Mel was a man that greeted me with a smile every single day I entered the building. Some days he would give me candy - and every day he gave me a warm welcome. I will truly miss seeing him each day, he was such a kind man.

I worked with Mel at the VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. I remember his wonderful sense of humor and positive outlook on life. He conveyed these well to his patients. God Bless

My husband and I only knew Mel for a short time, but he was very kind and warm hearted man. Mel worked in the building where I work, when my husband came to pick me up from work he and Mel would always talk and Mel always had a smile on his face.
Mel will be missed.

Greetings to all family and friends, Melvin is my first cousin, I am one of Skip's younger sister's. Even though Melvin was a bit older than I, I pray for you during this time, just remember that he will always be in your hearts. He is now with my Aunt Sadie, my Dad and everyone else that has passed before him, so I am sure he had a welcome home, from all of them. May you all feel God's Grace and be able to carry only happy memories with you as you continue your lives. Prayers to all, Sharon (Anderson) Breitenbach, one of Albin's Daughters

I had the privilege of working with Mel for many years. He was my coworker, my friend, and we shared our love for animals. After he retired, we met on occasion for coffee or lunch ... but never lost touch.
Mel, I will miss you dear buddy but I'm glad I had the chance to know you!
