Mel was born on September 27, 1944 in Big Spring. He was a lifetime resident of Ackerly & Big Spring. He was also a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Mel married Ella Faulks on July 2, 1970 in Big Spring.
Mel is survived by his wife: Ella Williamson of Ackerly, TX; son: James Williamson (Jada) of Boyd, TX; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 2 sisters: Ruth Williamson & Wanda Moss.
Mel was preceded in death by his parents: Van & Myrtle Williamson; daughter: Janella Walker; son: Van Williamson; and twin brother: Milton Williamson.
