SHAUN,
DARREN E-MAILED ME FROM ISRAEL TO TELL ME THE NEWS. I AM SO SORRY. MY HEART AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY MORE THAN EVER AT THIS TIME, AS YOU HAVE ALWAYS HELD A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART AND MY LIFE. SOMETHING DARREN HAS ALWAYS KNOWN. AND BECAUSE OF YOU, THIS HAS ALWAYS INCLUDED YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY. TO YOU, YOUR MOTHER, YOUR SIBLINGS AND ALL THE CHILDREN, AND MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL AT THIS TIME, TO YOUR FATHER;
"MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU "KOL YA-MAY HA-YAH" ALL THE LENGHTHS OF HIS DAYS.
AMEN.

Cary and family-- You are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. We always enjoyed seeing you at Mike's games, etc. Mel was always so happy and so very proud of his family as well he should be. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

I had the pleasure of working with Mel for many years at John Deere Health. He was always pleasant, professional and knowlegeable. But most of all, he was fun to work with. He's been missed since his retirement. I was saddened to learn of his death. He was one of the 'good guys'!

Dear Cary and Family:
Our thoughts, hearts, and prayers are with you at this incredibly sad time. Yet, we know, that "Scotty" would be wanting us all to celebrate his life, not mourn his passing. Our memories will always be of Mel's bright smile and warm laughter and of his genuine interest in the people and the world around him . . . and, of course, of his love for his family.
With all our love . . . The Winships

Dear Cary:
Although I don't think you and I ever met, I'm one of those friends of Mel who worked with him through many years at John Deere. And, since retiring,we also met for breakfast on many tuesday mornings with local Deere friends to commiserate and lie to one another. In all my associations with Mel, I found him to be a true professional, a helpmate through many Company Personnel health related issues, and a friend that I both liked and admired.
Since I'm presently in Florida, I'll be unable to attend Mel's visitation or funeral. Know, however, that you and your family have my sympathy and warmest regards during your time of sorrow. We, who shared a kinship with Mel, will miss him and remember him always.

Brian and I send the Scotts our love and concern at this sad time. We didn't know Mel very well but we know he must have been a tremendous father to raise a wonderful man like Tracy.
Your memories will keep Mel with you forever.

Cary,
I am so sorry to read of Mel's passing. Will remember all of the Negotiations we took part in and the fishing trips to Canada.
My deepest condolences,
Ron
