SPRINGFIELD - Melvina Romona (Murry) Perry, 40, of 1554 Carew Street, Springfield, died Saturday at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield, she was schooled in Maryland and later attended MCDI & STCC. Predeceased last month by a sister, Sheryl Simmons, she leaves her husband, Charles Perry of North Carolina; a son, James W. Christie,III of Springfield; 2 daughters, Nneka Perry of Aberdeen, MD, and Sharaun Demby of Springfield; her father, Melvin Murry of Springfield; her mother, Gertrude Murry of Austin, TX; 2 brothers, Melvin Murry, Jr. of Columbus, OH and Mark Murry of Springfield; and a sister, Linda Simmons of Earl, AR. Funeral services will be held Friday at Holy Redeemer Cathedral, 44 Prospect Street. Calling hour is Friday 10-11 at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Harrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
