Celebrating the Life of Meredith Katherine Ridgway

With hearts full of sadness but also gratitude, we celebrate the extraordinary life of Meredith Katherine Ridgway, who passed away on January 19th at the age of 48. Though we mourn her absence, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the arms of her Savior. Meredith always expressed her love of Jesus, inspiring her love, generosity, and unwavering dedication to others.

Born and raised in Texas, Meredith graduated from Lake Highlands High School before attending Texas Tech University. Her career began with a passion for corporate event and wedding planning, where she brought her creativity and meticulous attention to detail to life's most special occasions. Meredith embraced her greatest calling when her children were born, becoming a devoted stay-at-home mother.

Meredith's love for her children was the foundation of her life. She poured her heart into creating a warm, joyful home full of love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. In addition to her role as a mother, Meredith dedicated herself to extensive volunteer work with numerous organizations, including Highland Park ISD, Genesis Women's Shelter, Wilkinson Center, Rainbow Days, Boys & Girls Club of Dallas, and Scottish Rite Hospital. Her selflessness and commitment to helping others were an extension of her faith and compassionate heart.

Meredith's talents and passions knew no bounds. She was a published author who shared her voice with the world and a certified life coach who empowered others to find purpose and strength in their journeys. Whether through her words, actions, or presence, Meredith had an extraordinary ability to uplift and inspire those around her.

The mountains were Meredith's sanctuary. She cherished hiking, exploring, and adventure. Meredith's spirit and reverence for nature were just a few of the many ways she embraced the blessings of life.

Meredith is survived by her devoted husband of 23 years, William Ridgway; her three beloved children, Ava, Lauren, and William Jr.; her father and stepmother, Billy and Cris Quigley; her mother and stepfather, Sandra and John Dickey; her siblings, Collin and Tiffany Quigley, Josh and Brandy Quigley, Shaun and Cindy Quigley, and Kailin and Matt Henneke; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved her dearly. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who know her.

To honor Meredith's legacy of love and service, donations may be made in her name to Rainbow Days Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping children in adversity build coping skills and resilience to create positive futures - https://rainbowdays.org/donate/.

Meredith's life will be celebrated on February 15th, 2025, at 2:00pm at Park Cities Baptist Church - https://pcbcspecialevents.online.church/. We invite all who knew her to join us in sharing memories, laughter, and love as we commemorate the remarkable woman she was.

Meredith Katherine Ridgway's passion for her family, her dedication to service, and her zest for life will continue to inspire all who knew her. As we remember her, we find solace in the promise of eternal life and the enduring legacy of her faith, kindness, and joy.

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever." - Psalm 23:6

I first met Meredith when she and Will began dating. Will is my nephew. I was so impressed with how vibrant and smart that she was, & with what career path she had chosen-Weddings, Parties, & Caterering.
I´m so sorry that she died so suddenly, but I know that she is in Good Company with God and His precious & perfect Son, Jesus...who sacrificed His own Life ,so that we who are not perfect can have a Heavenly Home for all of Eternity!! Thank You Dear Lord!!

Meredith loved us well. She always showed up for the big moments in my life (and was likely running the show in some way). She was an amazing aunt and I am blessed to have known her. She is missed.
