these lyrics make me think of you, as well as my grief
"i wanna sleep in your car while you're driving
lay on your lap when i'm crying"
&
"wanna listen to the sound of you blinking
wanna listen to your hands soothe
listen to your heart beating
listen to the way you move"
i remember all that you were. what you look, smell, feel like. how i felt around you, i was always a daddy's girl. no one could make me feel as safe as you did when i was a little girl. you were solid, like a tree. i couldn't push you around when i was that age, no matter how hard i tried. and now you are gone, and it feels strange. i still picture you as i did the last time i saw you, years ago. i'm not sure if i should be thankful for my last image of you or not. if i saw you before you passed, would i no longer see you as strong? what would i think of you, as a teenager? i'm really not sure.

today marilyn and i picked up your things left from the day you died. your class ring is around my neck, on the necklace you gifted me around the age i am in this picture. i wish we had a more recent picture. i love you, i miss you, i think about you every day.

Micah and I go back to middle school. He was always cracking jokes and so fun to be around. Lots of memories with that guy. Throughout the years we kept in touch from time to time. He was always a great friend when I needed someone to talk to, cracking jokes to make me feel better. He would reach out when things were going good in his life and last we spoke he was raving about his wife and kitties. I´ll always remember his laugh and smile. My condolences to family and friends, such a loss.

Nothing will ever be quite the same. I'm just so very sorry, for everything.
