I worked with Mike many years ago back in the start up days of G-P Flakeboard. One of the smartest guys I ever worked with. Always a smile, and able to make me laugh. I am so shocked and saddened to learn of his passing. Condolences to your family during this extremely difficult time.

I hadn't seen Mike in many years and was informed of his passing by a mutual friend. However, Mike and I were friends in college and I will always remember those days as some of the best of my life. Mike was a serious student who strived for the best and we were like-minded that way. We worked hard and had fun when the chance offered itself. It was a whirlwind 3 years and he was a big part of my college experience. Once classes ended, life took us down different roads and I haven't lived in Sault Ste. Marie for the past 30 years. Even so ... my time there was formative and Mike will live in my memory until I die. He was a good person at heart. He helped me when I needed help and I helped him in turn. I want to extend my sincere condolences to his family and all those that will mourn his passing.

Michael always told me at his funeral he wanted the Song, "Let it ride" by Randy Bachman. My sincerely condolences to his family. He was a true friend and always made himself available for a friend in need. He over came alot in his life and I blessed to have been able to spend a part of my life with him. He will be dearly missed. Lots of love and I will be thinking about his family in my prayers.
