My heart is heavy and will remain heavy for a long time. For the 19 years that I have known Mike, he has always been there for me whenever I have to call on him. This is such a huge loss for me and more so for his extended Atlanta Habitat family who he has served so graciously for 30 over plus years. Mike - you have kept people warm on their coldest days - you have made people feel "cool" on days when they were most uncomfortable. You have always gone the extra mile to assist anyone who needs your help. That's just who you are! Mike, we will truly miss you from the bottom of our hearts!
To Tasha, Mike's sisters and his extended family-our deepest condolences go out to you all. Wishing you peace to bring comfort and courage to face the difficult days ahead! Paul T.

So sorry to learn that Mike has died. I remember hiring him to do the heating system on a Habitat for Humanity remodel job near Glenwood and Boulevard just outside of Cabbage Town. That was back in the mid 1980's. He continued to do our work for all the years I worked at Habitat Atlanta. He was dependable and always did top notch work for Habitat. I always recommended him to anyone asking about an HVAC contractor.

I have known Mike since I started with Atlanta Habitat 19 years ago. Mike was a gentle giant. He loved working for Atlanta, Habitat for Humanity and he loved working with our homeowners many of whom knew him and spoke of him fondly.
He helped me with my HVAC five months ago and while putting the compressor in, we spoke for two hours straight, he spoke about how much he cared for his family and his wife. I learned so much about his impact and his historical knowledge of Atlanta, Habitat for Humanity.
His dedication to our mission over the last 31 years is remarkable. You will be missed Mike. God bless and Godspeed.

Sometimes we do not understand why God calls us home so early in life so I have to believe he needed another Angel! Mike Bond, what a special young man we all loved and will miss and especially this goes as heartfelt hugs to the Bond Family, loved ones and friends who loved him so much. He was one of the special and sweetest ones we will always remember, back in the day and during his lifetime.

To my high school running mate and good friend, you will be missed brother. I remember a lot and I had a great time growing up with you. Be sure to wash your face and brush your teeth as your momma said every night.
May you find a light and rest in peace.
