Mr. and Mrs. Boudreau, our prayers go out to you and your family on your tragic loss. My son Shawn and I were at the funeral yesterday and, although you don't know us, we felt a close connection due to the sudden loss of Michael. We almost lost our son Shawn last year, just prior to him entering his Freshman year at the Prep. He spent 17 days at Children's and had two major operations. We are very blessed that, with tremendous support, many prayers, and hard work, Shawn completed a very successful first year. Yesterday, he stood with his classmates, hand in hand, in tribute to a member of the Prep family. You and Michael will remain in our prayers.

Dear Boudreau Family,

We have only had the briefest of pleasures to meet Michael last summer at Bear Hill. All the things we have heard about him reflect a great all-around kid with a warm heart. Sounds just like his parents.

Our hearts are heavy for your loss. And our thoughts and sympathy are with you.

June 17, 2011

Dear Boudreau Family,

Our hearts and prayers go out to you during this time of grief, and healing. I know one of God's children was taken from us too soon. Although I did not know him well, I do know his heart was bigger than us all. He will be missed for the person he was, but the memory of his generous heart and caring spirit will resonate with us, left behind, forever.

Mike and Beth:

I am struggling like everyone else to find the words to express my deepest and most sincere sympathy to both of you and your family. You have endured more than most parents can even imagine. I wish I knew your Michael. This is the price we pay for living far from family. Life gets in the way and we experience a disconnect that we do not even realize until something like this happens. From the comments I am reading, it is clear your boy was special. I am not surprised knowing you two as I do. I cannot help but believe Michael is holding fast to his brother’s hand and watching over you, Matthew, Sarah and Abby. They are both holding you all in the palm of their hands. I am carrying thoughts of you and your family in my heart and truly wish there was something I could do to help you at this most difficult time. Our family’s love and prayers are reaching out over the long distance to touch your family. Much love and peace to you all….

May you see God's light in the path ahead
When the road you walk is dark.
May you always hear,
Even in your hour of sorrow,
The gentle singing of the lark.
When times are hard may hardness
Never turn your heart to stone.
May you always remember
When shadows fall
You do not walk alone.

May you begin to fill the void with remembered joy. Our prayers are with you all. The Thompson Family

Dear Boudreau Family,

I am so sorry for your loss. Thou I never met your son Michael I feel like I know him. You see I work with the head swim coach and she told me what happened to your son. I have a son who is also, fourteen and was hospitalized at Children's Hospital. Your son will always, be remembered for his kindness and his willing to help others. I hope that his good works will inspire others to do the same. A child who thinks of others is something to be proud of. Mom and Dad you did a wonderful job with Michael. May God help you and your family through this difficult time of your lives.
