Age 38, of Pittsburgh, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 8, 2018. Beloved son of Philomena Brams of Pittsburgh and Stewart Brams of Ft. Myers, Florida; loving brother of Andrew Brams of Pittsburgh; also survived by uncles, Louis Iannotta, Lowell Brams, Edward Belveny and Donald Belveny; aunts, Bruna Galati, Karin Baird, Sue Belveny-Baron and Sandy Pegg; and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his birth father, Ronald Belveny. Michael was a shining soul with a beautiful smile and the gift of empathy for others. He possessed great kindness of heart and would help anyone who asked him. His wit would make you smile. The greatest gift he gave us was his enduring love. He will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched. Michael valiantly fought his battle with addiction for many years, finally losing his life to this scourge of our times. He is finally at peace. His family wishes all who knew him to hold, as their last memory of Mike, that beautiful, bright, smiling face. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 17 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed by a prayer service at JOHN F. SLATER FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, 412-881-4100. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Michael's honor may be made to Sojourner House, 5460 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15206 or Message Carriers of PA, 5907 Penn Avenue, #215, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Our deepest sympathy to Phil and her family in the passing of Michael. We just heard the sad news yesterday, so we were not able to pay our respect. There is nothing worse than the loss of a child, and Frank has fond memories of Michael. May God give you strength to get through this difficult time and the days ahead.
