Maureen and Jerome - Nancy and I think of Michael often throughout the years. Nancy is an avid reader and she and often shared about the books they have read. I was fortunate to have known him since we were little boys and became close friends throughout many years. Remember you and your Mom well, having spent a lot of time Gautier Ave (58 ?).
We miss him. Wishing you peace, happiness and health.

Dear Maureen and Jerome, I've been retired from UPS for a little over two years, but prior to that I had the privilege to work with Mike at the air sort at Albany airport. I just learned of Mike's passing and wanted to extend my deepest sympathy. I enjoyed our daily intelligent conversations and occasional advice. Maureen please take comfort in knowing that he spoke of going to visit you and always looked forward to the time he would spend with you and Jerry. He was truly a special gentleman and will be missed by all that new him. R.I.P. Burkee....Bill Slemp [email protected]

Mike was a good friend to many people. Hey Burkey ! I think most people will remember him as quick witted, extremely bright, and a very, very special character. Spent many days and nights together as young boys (9>), as well as when we were supposed to be in the process of maturing! Hey, everyone goes at their own pace. Fortunate to have had him in my life and knowing him so well. He will be held in heart and mind.
Lynchy, with love.
