Michael Casso Obituary
Michael's longtime companion, Joanne (McPherson) Lynch, with whom he lived, passed away on July 26th; his son, Angelo Casso, passed away in August; a sister, Carmela Mangiatordi also predeceased him. He is survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, including, Karen Wunschel of Millbury and Barbara Bullock of Springfield; three sisters, Mary and Helen Casso, both of Worcester, Lucretia Wylie of Millbury; many nieces and nephews. Born in Worcester, Michael was the son of the late Angelo and Raffaela (Mazzone) Casso. Michael was a World War II, U.S. Navy Veteran, serving overseas, and has lived many years in Shrewsbury.
Michael formerly owned and operated a convenience store in Worcester, several years before retiring.
A period of visitation will be held Monday, January 14th from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon, in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. A prayer service will be held at 12 noon. Burial, in St. John's Cemetery, will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Radius Health Care, Main St. Millbury, MA 01527.

Mike I will always love you, this is Barbara and you have held my hand though thick and thin you have always been there for me. I want to thank you for raising me and loving me as your own daughter. You have taught me to me independent and very out spoken. Alway to speak my mind. I love you and you will be greatly missed. My (dogs) will also miss you tremendously, they miss there peperoni's. I love you !!!
