Michael F. Coveny, age 77, of Rocky Mount, Virginia passed away Wednesday, December 23rd, 2020. He was born in Lakawana, New York on June 8, 1943 to Gerald Joseph Coveny and M. Rita Coveny. He was predeceased by his mother, father, and two brothers, David Paul Coveny and Charles Edward Coveny. He is survived by his wife, Ramona M. Coveny, 2 daughters, Kristin K. Davis (Neil) of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Erin M. McKinney (David) of Fort Mill, South Carolina, 3 bonus-daughters, Sabrina Greco(Dominick), Dawn Blackwell (Thomas), and Michele Whitlow, and a bonus-son, Jessee Musselwhite. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and 8 siblings, Margaret Ess of Warsaw, Gerald (Janet) Coveny Jr of Warsaw, Kathleen (Kenneth) Burzynski of Warsaw, Daniel Coveny of Warsaw, Martin Coveny of Warsaw, Joseph (Robyn) Coveny of Pickens, South Carolina, Maria Seifert of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Raymond (Tammy) Coveny of Castile. Michael was a Jack-of-all-trades, Navy Veteran whose careers ranged from hairdresser to mechanic to college professor. He loved a good road trip, had a great sense of humor, and was a free spirit. He was fiercely proud of his children and grandchildren often to the point of tears. Generous to a fault and a big teddy bear at heart, we all knew we were loved. He never wanted anyone to make a fuss over him and did not want a funeral. In leu of flowers a donation in his name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project. 7, of Rocky Mount, Virginia passed away Wednesday, December 23rd, 2020.
