Michael D'Amore Obituary
READING — Michael A. "Mike" D'Amore, of Reading, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009.
He was the husband of Karen (Foote); son of Michael and Nancy (Lau) D'Amore of Tewksbury; son-in-law of Ronald and Janet Foote of Lowell; brother of Anthony D'Amore of Reading; grandson of Leonard J. D'Amore of Worcester; Godchild of Cheryl Petersen. Mike is also survived by uncles, aunts, cousins and his dog, Dixie. He was the companion of the late Penney Richards.
ARRANGEMENTS: A service of remembrance in the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., (corner of Park Street and Route 28) North Reading, at Reading line, on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 7:30 p.m. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home, Tuesday 3 to 7:30 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mike's name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place, West, Sixth Floor, Boston, MA 02445. www.cotafuneralhomes.com.

It’s been 11 years you have left it is not of your choice. We still can’t believe you are gone. You were our life. My greatest fear was you would be in a motorcycle accident that would take you from me. I prayed that would never happen. Well it did. My life and your fathers will never be the same. It's been so long since you passed yet I am just finding out about your death today. My heart is broken at the hearing of your death. I'm so glad there are pics here because I havent seen you since high school. You grew up to be such a handsome man. We go all the way back to Barrows as kids! You were a great person and will never be forgotten. I pray you are at peace. I can see from the messages here that you meant a lot to a lot of people. Rest in peace buddy.

Micheal. We miss you more every year that goes by. . It is not getting any less painful. Andy has taken over the Christmas breakfast tradition. He and Katelyne did a wonderful job.

This time of the year is the worst for you Father and me. Your dad needs to be with lots of people and I do not. I really try but, some places are so chaotic and noisy I have a problem I really am trying to change this but it is almost impossible.
We are not sure how live would have turned out for you if you were still with us. But I do know one thing. No matter what I would have happy and proud .

To my love..... I hope you saw all your balloons. So much love in all of them. Your camp is now Andrews. But all of you is now gone from the site due to the septic going in. I guess it had to happen sooner or later. But is very hard knowing you will never fill that space anymore and bring all the joy and laughter and the beautiful smiling face with contagious laugh. NO words can express the feelings I have or the pain I feel. I go on knowing that I have to because that is what you would want.

Michael.. Mom and I went to Curt and Jens house to watch the super bowl last night. It was the 1st one we have watched since all of us watched it at Dave and Cheryls house when the Pats got beat by the Giants. Michael Nov 19th was the anniversary of the accident when we lost you and Penny. We could not ignore that day ,so we opened our home to your friends and family to just be together and remember you. Michael , on September 11th Mom and I and some of your closest friends and relatives laid your ashes to rest at Wood End cemetary in Reading , the town you loved so well........ The stone was beautiful, all black with an etching of your 2000 Harley Davidson fat boy that was made especially for you 10 years ago. Some of us said a few words to express our feelings, But none of us could really find the right words. We visit you whenever we can , last week mom put a pumkin there as she knows how much you loved this season .. will talk again soon Dad

Hey Mike , we had some of your good friends up to camp to think about you on your Birthday. Iwish I could describe the amount of love that was felt and the amount of tears that were shed,,, but in spirit as in life ,you sure brought out the emotions in all of us. To be sure ,many a toast was drank in your honor and Im sure [although I didnt see it ] maybe some other forms of celebration .
