So sorry we couldn't attend the services for Mike. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Shelia. Mike will be remembered fondly by many. I always enjoyed timing at track meets with the two of you. Todd remembers finding his plane for him when he was stationed in Arizona. He touched a lot of people in this world with his positive attitude. Hold onto the great memories.

Our deepest and sincerest sympathies for your sudden and deeply heartfelt loss. You both have been such great mentors to our daughter Julie Staab and her husband Jeff. They have both reiterated many times what a great guy Mike was; you both have been. We personally thank you for giving of yourselves to them. We are so sorry for your personal loss.

Mike was one of the first members of the NEANG to introduce himself when I joined in the early 90's. He was always so kind, funny and a joy to speak with. Keeping your family in my prayers. With deepest sympathy.

I first met Mike "Bulldog" Dalton and Sheila while serving in the Nebraska ANG. Mike was a great navigator and fun to fly with. Always the optimist, Mike had a great sense of humor. He had a glint in his eye and looked at you with that contagious smile we will forever remember. So long my friend, you will never be forgotten. Thank you for the memories.

Mike will be missed by all that knew him. He always made me laugh. He had a million stories and we made a few more flying the RF-4. So goodbye my forever friend, you went too soon! Marge and I have fond memories of our trips to Hawaii, Maine, West Branch, and Des Monies.

We are overcome with shock and grief at the loss of such an incredible man and dear friend of so many years. There are no words to express our deepest sorrow. Comfort lies in the many memories we've shared over the years, the stories only Mike could tell and the utmost respect and love we shared for each other. We think of Mike and we smile, even though our hearts are broken. R.I.P. dear man...forever in our hearts. Dan and Doreen Nidey
