His smile lit up the room. Xoxo miss you

Michael came into my life at a time when I felt nothing could quell the sadness in my heart and the terror in my brain. He was a constant and continued to help me learn more about myself and what it meant to love myself even after I was no longer in the same city. I found out about his loss today as I was recounting his love of movie nachos to a friend. Michael, I´m never ever going to forget your kindness and your wisdom and your light.

I'm so sad about Michael's passing. He was a bright light and spark of joy. He will be missed by so many who loved him. I was honored to meet him as a co-worker in the early 1990s and to become his friend. Deepest condolences to his husband Gary, the DeVoll and Gee families, and all of his friends and colleagues.

I am so very sorry to learn of Michael's passing. He was one of the most generous and loving people I know and I know dearly missed but will be with you always! Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers, my deepest sympathies.

I feel very fortunate to have spent such quality time with my dear brother in law. He taught me quite a lot about myself & I got to really know his humorous, sweet & loving personality. I miss him so much.

Michael was always a thoughtful, generous and committed individual, totally supporting his husband Gary, family and friends. We shall be eternally grateful for Michael's leadership and participation in the Gee Family and our Education Fund. He will always be a Gee Family member and be sorely missed.

My friend, Michael, will remain in my heart always. Daily, I´ll conjure up our 40 years of exploits. Hon, I miss you and love you.
