Dr. Michael Joseph Faust Sr.

Dr. Michael Joseph Faust Sr., of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on January 24, 2021 surrounded by the love of his family at the age of 67. Born on November 22, 1953, to his loving parents, the late Frances Scontrino Faust and John Charles Faust Sr., he was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. Michael is the beloved husband of 40 years to Colleen O'Neal Faust; adored father of Stephen Michael Faust, Elizabeth Rachel Faust, Michelle Ann Faust, John Alfred Faust, and Michael Joseph Faust Jr.; proud grandfather of Lillian Nancy Triche and Noah Ashton Faust; and caring brother of Frances Faust Soliman and John Charles Faust Jr. Dr. Faust graduated from Brother Martin High School with the Class of 1971. He went on to earn a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the Louisiana State University in 1979 and practiced veterinarian medicine for over 35 years at Faust Veterinary Hospital in Slidell. Dr. Faust loved and cared for animals of all shapes and sizes with a passion. He was a die-hard LSU fan and served as a past president of the Tammany Tigers and was a member of the Tiger Athletic Foundation for over 30 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing. A Celebration of Life in Michael's honor will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine are preferred.
